1. Write news articles including attachments of pictures and/or videos

If we If we take adventuregames.com as an example, we may find an uncountable number of
related sites all about adventure gaming; however, the group of people writing these articles commonly turns out to be fairly small; hence that actually means, that news from the fan adventure world is merely covered in a sort of "note in the margin" (like in newspapers), thus forcing the adventuring enthusiast to pull additional information out of external sources. This, however, is supposed to get changed eventually! Considering that the adventure world's news tickers would permanently rattle like the teletypers from the old days, it is sort of indispensable to give both professional and amateur teams as well as fans
and editors of other adventure gaming sites a way to freely and independently report about the adventuring world.

Every registered user will get the right to write their own articles and reviews and also attach some images or even videos along the way. Fans may write freely about their gaming experiences, while the
people on the technical side (professional and amateur developers) can inform the community about enhancements, updates or even sequels of their projects. Readers on their part may also rate and comment these reports. So we can always ensure breaking news and interesting zero-day reports written from individual viewpoints. There is a lot of advantage in strategy is very advantageous for amateur developers in particular, because the immediate response they get to their new screenshots and/or ideas is likely to keep their motivation at a high level. The community backend engine is also able to truncate comments made by bogus users and spam bots, so we can certainly guarantee a reasonable
conversation level.

2. Meet users and artists you like - worldwide!

For the time being, this site is now available in English, German and Spanish language. Site localizations in French, Italian and even Portuguese are currently in the works---so stay tuned! It is one of our major aims to establish an adventure gaming portal even for international adventure fans and developers---and in their own language! Moreover, a vast multitude of options was implemented for the user's benefit. For instance, all members may create and manage their own photo albums, their own private news section and their own guestbook; this way, you can write each other and meet artists, editors and fellow fans, which helps not only in making the community stronger but also in user-to-user help and even
gives developing team leaders a way to recruit new people for their project(s).

3. Give those amateur developing teams the respect they deserve!

Well, each child should know them by now---Sierra's great adventure game classic series: "Monkey Island", "Space Quest", "Leisure Suit Larry" - to only name a few. And also recent games like "Runaway", "Book Of Tales", "Vampire Story" or "The Whispered World" should not be left unmentioned. But even from the fan adventure world we know about a couple of comprehensive projects that have gained overwhelming acceptance: "Dirty Split", "Captain Delta", "Patrimonium", "Broken Sword 2.5" or "Timanfaya". Unfortunately though, the great part of related ambitious projects is doomed to become lost in oblivion, although they too may have an enthralling storyboard and (graphical) design after all. On this site, we'd like to emphasize that there will be NO hierarchy system which would classify any of them superior or inferior - each one should deserve the players' respect on the same degree! This way, we give these games a way to gain the same acceptance and popularity like those from the well-established ones that already did have their breakthrough.

4. Adventure gaming market
It is no secret that games produced by teams formed of creativity-laden individuals could easily hold a candle to their commercial competitors in the past several times. These games came up with fantastic, captivating storyboards---providing video footage, sophisticatedly animated scenes and, with a smaller part of these games, even speech output!

Well, could there be an even more sensible thought than the thought of establishing a marketing platform for these kinds of games? Because if intended, they may even be sold later, which in addition is
supposed to encourage developers and developing teams to try as hard as possible, putting all their heart into the project; and even having the chance of paying their rent just by means of their former "spare time work"---one fine day.

Come on guys, we shan't leave the whole cake to the big 'uns in the business, shall we?
Registered members may even sell games in this site's Shop section: this could be games of the category described in the previous section, as well as used games (similar to 'Your Favorite Auction Site'wink.
This will give a great opportunity to gamers to get their games at a cheaper price as well as make a small bargain from their offer.

5. Very comprehensive forum system

You can discuss about:
  •  both recent and retro adventure gaming
  • design and planning of gaming projects
  • 3D artwork and other arts-related topics
  • technical subjects like adventure gaming engines and what they can do
All category-related sections are sort of centralized, including uploads of images and videos; so you can show to the others by means of a video, how you're outlining and colorizing your backdrops and scenery.
You can showcase your latest 3D animation artwork in no time and also assist each other in an efficient user-to-user way.

6. Increase your popularity
By no means is this site intended to be a sort of "isolated lone wolf"; the connection to other sites is certainly of great importance. In a nutshell, both items from the shop and marketplace sections (games) and news are purposefully meant to get mirrored onto other places in the web which deal with the subject as well: this could be, for instance, directly connected partnering gaming web sites. Mirroring will help the fan adventure game projects in getting a much wider audience that way.

7. Ongoing development
Since our pool of ideas will never drain (hopefully!), this project is supposed to grow and prosper even more in the future. Certainly we are more than happy about your guys' ideas, so that we can enhance and expand the site to your benefit!

So keep your project updates current, write articles, sell your gaming projects and many many more...we're looking forward to meeting you in our community soon!
